In our Bilingual Montessori environment, we guide our little learners to become more independant. The classroom is designed to stimulate and engage our students in a range of activities that they are free to choose from. Teachers guide students as they begin their learning journeys and help nurture young minds as they begin to form their very first building block of education.

0-3 years

The initial three years of life play a pivotal role in shaping human development and potential. The remarkable and visible physical growth of the infant captivates our care and attention, but concurrently, a significant and less conspicuous development unfolds within the child.

During the initial three years of life, the child's intellect takes form. They assimilate the culture and language of their birth environment. This phase becomes critical for the formation of the core of personality and social identity. Grasping the child's developmental journey and the evolution of the human mind enables the creation of environments tailored to meet the infant's needs, promoting independence, motor skills, and language acquisition.

Hello everyone, I'm Angie. I'm a Montessori trained teacher with 7 years teaching experience specializing in the 0-3 age group. I moved to Portugal with my husband and 2 beautiful boys (aged 2 and 5) in 2021. Our youngest really is the reason why I started Angie's Montessori Club. Finding a quality daycare with availability was a bit of a challenge and I quickly realized, if you want to do something right, you've got to do it yourself. With support from family and friends I was able to start and grow Angie's Montessori Club from a handful of children to a fully thriving kindergarten environment. At such a young age, it is vital that our little treasures receive the attention they need which is why I had to expand my teaching team in order to keep a very healthy child:teacher ratio.

Isa

Hi, I'm Isa. I am Portuguese and have been teaching professionally for the past 5 years. Working at Angie's is different to any other daycare I have worked at because there are no screens and there is a lot more staff to take care of the children.

I lead the arts and crafts each week as well as Portuguese circle times with some of my favorite songs.

Maria

Hi, I'm Maria. I am Portuguese and have a lifetime of experience taking care of young children. I enjoy the work environment and being able to bring some Portuguese language to the classroom.

Each week I run the PE class and love seeing the children's smiles as we move our bodies.

Shirley

Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm from South Africa but moved here with my family several years ago. I speak Portuguese and have a passion for teaching. I joined Angie's in the summer of 23 and have learnt so much under her guidance.

I bring to the team my playful energy and weekly music lessons.

Maria

Ola, I'm Maria, a mother to a beautiful young boy . I am natively from Portugal and bring some of the Portuguese language to the classroom. I have a passion for teaching little ones and am proud to be part of the AMC team.

Ksusia (Soo-sha)

Hiya, I'm Ksusia, a mother of 2. I am the newest addition to the AMC team. I will be helping out primarily with keeping the classroom organized and helping the children in transition periods.
